Kathmandu- Popular comedian duo Dhurmus (Sitaram Kattel) and Suntali ( Kunjana Ghimire) have released a detailed statement from the US, clarifying the main reason behind their recent visit abroad. According to them, the family travelled to America solely for the medical treatment of their daughter, Subihani. In their message, Dhurmus explained that several rumors had been circulating on social media regarding their move to the U.S. Some people had even accused them of leaving Nepal to avoid ongoing issues related to their previous social projects.
Responding to these claims, Dhurmus firmly stated that their daughter’s health is their first priority and the treatment she needs is more accessible and realiable in America. He further mentioned that the decisions to travel was not sudden. The family had been searching proper treatment options in Nepal but were advised to seek specialized care abroad. Dhurmus also clarified that rumors suggesting they have permanently settled in America are untrue. He stressed that the family intends to return to Nepal once their daughter’s treatment is completed and her health condition becomes stable.
He requested the public not to misunderstand their situation and to support them during this difficult time. The couple expressed appreciation to everyone who has shown concern and asked for privacy as they focus on their daughter’s recovery.
